Guided Sanctuary Tours

Our guided sanctuary tours are a treat for the entire family and our animals enjoy all the love.
Come and learn about how these our herds have come to be, and don't forget our small farmyard animals too!

One hour long with walking required - suitable for all ages

Our 14:00 tour includes a bucket list experience of our Mega Herd returning from pasture.

**As rescues, our animals are not forced to interact with any visitors, however many of our donkeys and farmyard animals will ask for cuddles on their own. Our tour guides will be with you entire time and will guide you on interactions.

Outrides on Horseback

Rainforest and farmlands guided horseback trail. Our outride herd consists of 10 of the original 35 beautiful horses rescued from the auction for slaughter back in 2017. Horses enjoy rides as it provides a nice change of scenery and adds variety to their daily routines - provided that they are well looked after, which all our animals certainly are!

As a registered NPO and PBO, all funds generated through outrides are used for the benefit of all the animals in our care.

A paradise at one with the birds and the bees 

A magnificent variety of indigenous mammals may also be spotted on our forest trails including the bushpig, dassie, caracal, genet, chacma baboon, vervet monkey, blue duiker, bushbuck, grysbok, mongoose and the Cape clawless otter. The elusive dwarf chameleon, amongst many other reptile species also call our rainforest home as does a plethora of rare and unique insects including the humble silver-spotted caterpillar. And with in excess of 300 species of birds having been sighted in our area including the Knysna Turaco, Narina Trogan, the African Black Oystercatcher and the Orange-breasted sunbird; with the melodic coo of the resident turtle doves, all make for a true, bucket list forest experience
