Our special Eggy is also one of our many Hartswater auction survivors that we rescued on that fateful day in the Northern Cape province of South Africa back in February 2017. As with the other 335 donkeys and 38 horses we rescued that day, Eggy went under the hammer for her meat and we acquired her by the kilogram. Maimed, blind and covered in scars from repetitive beating, our precious Eggy is now living his best life with us as integral members of our Mega Herd of 130 donkeys.
